Child Advocate Program

The Child Advocates at Kids house work collaboratively to meet the needs of the children and families we serve. Each of our child advocates provides guidance and compassion to children and families offering hope for the future.

Child Advocates provide:
  • Crisis intervention for children and families
  • Joint response 24/7 with law enforcement, the Child Protective Investigator and the Child Protective
  • Team case coordinators to provide crisis intervention and referral serves to the victim and family
  • Support counseling and education
  • Victim of Crime Compensation Assistance
  • Referrals to community resources including food, clothing, medical, parenting, mental health counseling and evaluation, substance abuse programs, and financial assistance
  • Participates in MDT staffing of critical cases
  • Spanish speaking advocacy
  • Non offending parent support group
  • Follow up support provided to children and families
  • 15 week nurturing parenting class
