Hanging of the Hands” Collection
27th-28th: Thursday or Friday March 27-28 from 9:00-5:00 Schools, child care centers, non-profits, or any organization involved with kids should get involved. Seminole County hands can be dropped off at SC Sheriff’s Office, SC Health Department, or CBC of Seminole. See link to flyer www.cbcseminole.org
Winds of Change Pinwheel “Two Week” Campaign
27th-April 11th Over 4,000 Pinwheels will be displayed at 6 different locations in Seminole County. While driving down the road if you see Pinwheels you should know that each pinwheel represents a births in Seminole County & a new beginning. Step Up, Florida! Celebration
28th: Starts at 10am at Ft. Mellon Park in Sanford on Lake Monroe. Activities of all kinds like Frisbee throw, trail walks, hoops contests, jump rope and much more. See link to flyer www.seminolecohealth.com
APRIL:
Corey Warner Canning Child Abuse
1st-30th: Vote to can child abuse bring canned food to Sanford Middle School at 1700 French Avenue, Sanford Florida 32773 during the month of April. See more details at www.thechildrenscabinet.org
Drive Away Child Abuse Campaign
1st-30th: Advocate against child abuse by educating your family on abuse, visiting the participating dealerships and purchasing blue ribbon magnetic decals.

Children’s Capitol for a Day
1st: Children’s Week in Tallahassee - from 10:00am -2:00pm at the State Capitol. SC booth in the State Capitol Courtyard. We need educational, health related brochures/flyers from your organization for the booth. Bring your materials to the next SC CAPTF Meeting (March 13 th at the Sheriff’s Office at 9:30) or The Children’s Cabinet Meeting (March 12 th at Sheriff’s Office at 9:30). Light of Hope Ceremony
4th: Candlelight vigil - event to start with a lights and sirens escort at 6:00 and ceremony at 7:00pm at the Sanford Civic Center Courtyard. Special dedication to children who have been abused and neglected. See link to flyer www.friendsofabusedchildren.org
Pablo Ramirez Kids Day in the Park

Seminole County Board of County Commissioners signs Resolution
6th: Proclaiming April 6th as Parents & Children’s Day in Seminole County and Children’s Week from March 30 th to April 6 th. April 6 th a day to encourage parents and children to spend quality time together. See more details at www.thechildrenscabinet.org
Ringing of the Bells
6th: At 1:00pm – Voluntary challenge to All Faith-Based Organizations to ring their church bells on this first Sunday in April as a reminder to parents & children to participate in fun, healthy and educational activities. See Link to flyer www.cbcseminiole.org
Victim’s Rights Luncheon
16th: Luncheon will be at Heathrow Country Club, from 11:15 to 2:00 Guest Speaker is Ms. Andrea Conte, First Lady of Tennessee. See more details at www.thechildrenscabinet.org
2nd Annual Community Walk
